PixArt’s Health Management product line, utilizing PPG (Photoplethysmography) technology, is a cluster of highly integrated modules designed for non-invasive health management applications.  By capturing image based PPG signals instead of limited PPG information from traditional photodiode, the image based PPG signals can be interpreted for not only typical application like heart rate detection or heart rate variety but innovative application which benefit from image based PPG signals. 

PixArt's PPG sensor products offer robust platforms for the development of physiological detection functions on wearable, hearable and portable devices. Potential health and fitness applications which is attainable from PixArt’s PPG sensor includes heart rate detection (stationary-, sport- or Wear OS-compliant grades), stress-level tracking via HRV SDNN value, respiratory monitoring, cardiopulmonary quality tracking, sleep-related breathing assessment and irregular heart beat screening...etc. While all PixArt’s PPG products benefit from their common architectural features such as low-power consumption, small form-factor, auto-adjusting mechanisms, and anti-ambient interference, we have built our list of PPG products with various reference optical-mechanical design and focus on providing flexibility for various algorithm implementation.

With our extensive knowledge and experience in supporting customers' development cycle, we have also carefully considered a wide range of operating scenario in real life and provide efficient processing in hardware level. These power built-in’s, including AGC (Auto-Gain Control), AEC (Auto-Exposure Control), Auto LED Control, ambient interference suppression, skin tone coverage support and hair-density stabilization, are considered in PixArt’s PPG products to make the coverage rate of bio-sensing more consistent.
