Health Management Sensor

PixArt's Health Management product line, utilizing PPG (Photoplethysmography) technology, is a cluster of highly integrated modules designed for non-invasive health management applications. Unlike a conventional photodiode detector that only provides essential PPG readings such as heart rate detection and heart rate variability (HRV), an image-based PPG product can further interpret PPG signals to identify even more personalized health information.

PixArt's PPG sensor products offer robust platforms for developing physiological detection functions on wearable, hearable and portable devices. Potential health and fitness applications attainable from PixArt's PPG sensor include heart rate detection (stationary-, sport- or Wear OS-compliant grades), stress-level tracking via HRV SDNN value, respiratory monitoring, cardiopulmonary quality tracking, sleep-related breathing assessment, and irregular heartbeat screening. All PixArt's PPG products have common architectural features: low power consumption, small form-factor, auto-adjusting mechanisms, and anti-ambient interference, with the flexibility to be implemented with different algorithms. We further provide references to optical-mechanical designs.

With our extensive knowledge and experience in supporting customers' development cycles, we have also carefully considered a wide range of operating scenarios in real life and provide efficient processing at the hardware level. These power built-ins, including AGC (Auto-Gain Control), AEC (Auto-Exposure Control), Auto LED Control, ambient interference suppression, skin tone coverage support, and hair-density stabilization, are integrated in PixArt’s PPG products to make the coverage rate of bio-sensing more consistent.
